an email dropped into my in-box a couple of days ago from liberty . introducing their new fabric collection for spring&summer 2015, it reminded me that i'd been lucky enough to view the range at premier vision last year & i remembered how lOvely & charming it was . based on the adventures of alice in wOnderland, it celebrates the fact that this year marks the 150th anniversary of it's first publication. taking inspiration from the original illustrations, from the whimsey of the story itself & also existing prints from liberty's own archives, the cOllection is a wOnderful marriage of the two . . .
. There was a table set out under the tree in front of the house, and the March Hare and the Hatter were having tea at it .
. She was considering in her own mind, whether the pleasure of making a daisy-chain would be worth the trouble of getting up and picking the daisies .
. 'Where do you pick the flower?' the White Queen asked: 'In a garden or in the hedges?' .
. Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank .
. and of having nothing to do .
. and of having nothing to do .
. She knelt down and looked along the passage into the loveliest garden you ever saw .
. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different .
. But if I'm not the same, the next question is, Who in the world am I? .
. The chief difficulty Alice found at first was in managing her flamingo .
. liberty .
at the moment there are 99 events planned in over 10 different countries to celebrate this anniversary; everything from theatre productions & ballets, store window displays, exhibitions, discussions, & of course no celebration of this story would be complete without a tea party or two would it ?
see mOre here . . .
. have a wOnderful day .
